Indian Penal Code Section 242:
Possession of counterfeit coin by a person who knew it was counterfeit upon acquiring it —Whoever, fraudulently or with the intent to commit fraud, is in possession of counterfeit coin, knowing at the time he acquired it that it was counterfeit, shall be punished with imprisonment of either kind for a term that may not exceed three years, and shall also be subject to a fine.
