SECTION 422 IPC : Illegally or dishonestly preventing creditors from collecting a debt.—Whoever willfully or fraudulently prevents any debt or demand due to him or to any other person from being made available in accordance with the law for payment of his or that other person’s debts is punishable with either type of imprisonment for a term that may not exceed two years, a fine, or both.
