Section 431 IPC: A public road, bridge, river, or channel has been damaged, causing harm. Any act that causes a public road, bridge, navigable river, or navigable channel to become impassable or less secure for travel or the conveyance of property—or that the offender knows is likely to cause such a situation—is considered malicious behavior and is punishable by either type of imprisonment for a term that may reach five years, a fine, or a combination of the two.
